Four Soldiers Martyred in Terrorist Attack: ISPR
Four soldiers were martyred on Saturday in a terrorist attack along the Pak-Iran border in Jalgai sector of Balochistan’s Kech district, according to military’s media wing.
“In attack, unfortunately, four soldiers, including Naik Shair Ahmed, Lance Naik Muhammad Asghar, Sepoy Muhammad Irfan and Sepoy Abdur Rasheed, were critically injured and later embraced martyrdom.”
ISPR said that “necessary contact” with Iranian side was being made for “effective action against terrorists” on their territory and to prevent such incidents in future.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed grief and sorrow over martyrdom of four security personnel in an attack of terrorists in district Kech in Balochistan.
He paid tribute to martyred Naik Sher Ahmed, Lance Naik Muhammad Asghar, Sepoy Muhammad Irfan and Sepoy Abdul Rashid. Prime minister condoled and sympathized with bereaved families of martyres. He said sons of nation were sacrificing their precious lives for defence, security and protection of motherland. “Nation salutes martyrs who sacrificed themselves for country.”
He said eradication of terrorism was a national agenda and with help of Allah Almighty, terrorists will be eliminated. He prayed for elevation of the ranks of martyrs and for patience to bereaved families.
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah also condemned attack and paid tribute to martyrs. “Sons of country are laying down their lives to protect their land, whole nation salutes them, nation is united in war against terrorism,” he tweeted, adding that “this scourge will be eradicated.”
