Child Protection Units Established in KP
Child protection units are established in 12 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said Child Protection Commission.
According to the details Child Protection Units have established 1066 Community Child Protection Units in 12 districts.
The department further said that 1391 awareness sessions were also organized through Child Protection Units
The media reports revealed that the initiative aims for Child Protection Communities about child protection issues among people at the community level.
According to the details these Child Protection Units have been established in Peshawar, Mardan, Lower Dir, Buner, Swabi, Bannu, Chitral, Charsadda, Kohat, Swat, Abbottabad and Butgram.
The report further claims that in these units the street children are given counseling and psychological support.
The media Reports further explain that 4601 boys and girls have been counseled while 16267 counseling sessions have been conducted.
