Free Medical Program started in KP, thousands of poor children receiving free treatment as per International Standards
Paraplegic Center Peshawar, in collaboration with American international organization "Miracle Feet US", which treats children born with club foot, has started a program for complete free treatment of thousands of poor children in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa following international standards. For this purpose, best medical experts of Peshawar have been hired including foreign trainers to train them with latest techniques.
Under program, along with free treatment, poor parents are supported with traveling expenses so that no child suffers permanent disability due to poverty.
It should be noted that an average of 7458 children are born with club foot every year in Pakistan, which can lead to permanent disability if not treated in time. But it is slow procedure and expensive, thus many poor children miss out on treatment.
