Digital Population Census Completed in Orakzai
Tribal district Orakzai has successfully completed its 7th Digital Population and Housing Census 2023 & stood first in completing activity in Kohat division as per the report of Divisional Census In charge.
Census Support Centre declared and reported that 100% households in area had been covered with no incidents or problems.
Census Support Center established under supervision of Assistant Commissioner Revenue Asfandyar Khalid and having officials from relevant Line Departments played a vital role in successful completion and smooth conduct of Census in District.
Additional Deputy Commissioner General Shahbaz Khan Khattak also played a pivotal role in managing and coordinating census related activities in district by providing additional oversight to Census Support Centre.
It is pertinent to mention that area of Biland Khel comprising 05 Blocks were excluded from District Orakzai and erroneously included to Shewa Tehsil of North Waziristan.
Issue was resolved in a very short time and census activities were initiated in area on 25th March 2023. Even though time was short but still the activity in area was concluded within stipulated time.
Census activities in district were carried out by a total of 135 enumerator teams and 20 supervisors. A total of 54532 households were listed and enumerated in entire district.
DC Orakzai expressed his gratitude to police, Orakzai scouts, media, elders, and youth for their full support. Dedication and hard work of district administration officers were also highly praised.
DC Orakzai regards successful completion of census in Orakzai as a positive development for province, saying that it will provide accurate and reliable data for better planning and resource allocation.
