Fake Major Arrested in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, admits to Smuggling Drugs
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Mardan district, police has recovered 60 kg of hashish from the car of a person who was wearing Army uniform (Major rank) officer.
On Saturday night, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise Department officials stopped a suspicious vehicle at blockade in Mardan on a tip-off, in which a Burdi man identified himself as Major, but when asked to search vehicle by the Excise Police, this person did not and immediately drove the car.
After a long chase by officials of Excise Department, vehicle was stopped near Risalpur Gate and accused was arrested. Accused, resident of Abbottabad, was wearing fake uniform of major and also had fake official number plate affixed on the vehicle.
Case has been registered against accused under various sections of drug smuggling, damage to government property and defamation of Pakistan Army.
