Peshawar Jails and Courts to be Interconnected using Fiber Optic Cables
In order to make judicial processing more efficient, safe and accessible to all in Peshawar, fiber optic cables have been installed to interconnect courts and jails, which will not only save prisoners from humiliating process of handcuffing but will cut down government expenses incurred on transporting prisoners, this step is welcomed by prisoners as well.
According to District and Sessions Judge Peshawar Ashfaq Taj, last month around 3000 prisoners were presented before judicial magistrates through video link facility while 10 cabin units have also been constructed in jail for the prisoners.
