Peshawar Police Foiled Attempt of Smuggling Weapons to Punjab
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police has failed an attempt to smuggle weapons from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Punjab.
According to details Bhakkar police stopped a suspicious vehicle at Dajal check post, but driver didn't stop car.
However, police caught the vehicle after chase and a large quantity of weapons were recovered.
According to Bhakkar DPO Mohammad Naveed, 22 rifles, 42 magazines, and 181 cartridges were recovered from vehicle. Vehicle has been taken into custody, and 2 accused have been arrested.
According to authorities, weapons are suspected to be used in attacks.
Police have started further investigation against accused by registering a case of illegal weapons against arrested persons.
