The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has amended the Muslim Family Laws Ordinance, the Department of Local Government Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued a statement according to which the amendments have been made to serial numbers 13 and 25 of the Muslim Family Ordinance.
According to the declaration, the details of the right to dowry in the form of cash, movable and immovable property must be entered in the marriage certificate, and the oath of finality of prophethood was also made mandatory in the marriage certificate, according to which both the bride and groom are bound by the oath of finality of prophethood.
The marriage certificate shall be signed by the lawyers and witnesses of both the bride and groom, the signature and seal of the marriage registrar is also mandatory
