3 suspects involved in illegal currency exchange arrested in Peshawar, millions of Rials recovered
In Peshawar, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested 3 suspects involved in illegal currency exchange.
In the direction of Director Peshawar Zone Nisar Tanuli, the crackdown is on against the elements involved in the reference handi and illegal currency exchange.
3 suspects involved in the reference handi and illegal currency exchange were arrested. During the raid, domestic and foreign currency worth crores were recovered from the accused.
According to FIA, the arrested accused include Farhad, Rahimullah and Sahibzada Nauman.
The accused were arrested from GT Road Peshawar and Ashraf Road.
A total of 1 million Saudi Riyals and 62 million rupees were recovered from the accused.
The value of the currency exported is more than 8 crore rupees.
The accused were doing currency exchange business without license.
Records related to currency exchange and handi reference were also recovered from the accused.
The accused could not satisfy the authorities regarding the recovered currency.
A case has been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway
