Scrutiny of employees of Election Duty, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The process of preparing the lists of government employees of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for duty in the proposed general elections on February 8 has been started.
According to the sources of the Election Commission, the need for more than 13 lakh election staff has been estimated across the country for the upcoming general elections, in which a total of 266 returning officers will be appointed for the National Assembly and 593 returning officers for the provincial assemblies.
All these employees will be taken from the public sector and no workforce will be provided by the judiciary this time in the election.
Around polling stations will have to be constructed in which the total number of staff at each polling station is expected to be at least 13 persons.
Sources have said that the lists of officers of various departments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including bureaucracy are being finalized for election duty and soon these lists will be sent to the Election Commission.
