Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Actions against those who spread terrorism through social media
Khyber Pakhtunkhwas Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has released a report on operations against social media accounts spreading terrorism this year.
According to the CTD document, actions were taken against accounts promoting terrorism in the context of Apex Committee decisions.
The document states that 3,000 social media accounts were shared with PTA, FIA Cyber Crimes Wing and on the response of CTD Social Media Desk, PTA blocked 2,560 accounts.
According to the document, the data of 23 targets has been sent to the respective regional offices this year and CTD Punjab has shared the data of 15 targets with CTDKP.
The document further stated that social media desk N77 shared data of online arms dealers with senior police officers.
