Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Election Tribunal approves 242 out of 331 petitions
The election tribunal issued a report on the petitions filed against the rejection of nomination papers.
The election tribunal received 331 petitions from across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, out of which 173 appeals were heard by Justice Atiq Shah, Justice Shakeel Ahmed and Justice Waqar Ahmed.
Justice Kamran Hayat Miakhel of Abbottabad bench heard 25 appeals, Justice Muhammad Naeem Anwar of Mingora bench heard 86 appeals, while Justice Fahim Wali of di Khan bench heard 14 and Justice Fazal Subhan of Bannu bench heard 33 appeals.
According to sources, Election Tribunal Peshawar rejected nomination papers of 43 candidates, Abbottabad and Mingora 17, DI Khan and Bannu Election Tribunal rejected nomination papers of four candidates each.
According to the reports the total 331 petitions, there are 242 were approved and 89 rejected
