PESHAWAR: Cash and laptops distributed to landmine victims
In Peshawar, under the auspices of FATA Disabled Welfare Organization, a ceremony was held in honor of landmine victims in which more than 50 victims participated.
The ceremony was attended by the families of the victims, Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and a large number of military and civil officials.
The chief guest Corps Commander Peshawar Lt. Gen. Hasan Azhar Hayat distributed cash and laptops among the victims.
FATA Disabled Welfare Organization with the support of Pakistan Army has not only helped 1 thousand 43 victims in rehabilitation but also taken concrete steps for their welfare.
Chairman FATA Disabled Welfare Organization Irfanullah Jan appreciated the efforts made by the Pakistan Army for the rehabilitation of the victims.
Chairman FATA Disabled Welfare Organization Irfanullah Jan said that I am grateful to the Pakistan Army that whenever we were in need, Pakistan Army responded and supported us.
Addressing the ceremony, Secretary Special Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Anila Durrani said that todays ceremony is proof that the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Pakistan Army are working hard for the welfare of victims of terrorism and mines in the tribal districts.
