General Elections: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has called the army
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has requested the Pakistan Army from the Federation to ensure security arrangements during the general elections.
In the document of the Interior Department, it is said that all the preparations regarding election security are complete, 19 thousand 798 soldiers of Pakistan Army are to be deployed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the polling day.
Sources of the Interior Department said that 91 thousand 33 policemen have been appointed on the polling day, while 24 thousand 109 administrative staff, 14 thousand 821 women, 14 searchers will also be appointed.
It has been said in the document that 1,777 QRF police personnel will also be deputed on duty on election day.
According to the document, arrangements are also underway for 14 hundred and 95 polling stations established in snow-covered areas, 590 tractors, 194 dozers, 175 recovery vehicles are required on polling day.
The Interior Department of KPK said that CCTV cameras have been installed in 10,259 polling stations so far, while the work of installing CCTV cameras in more than 5,000 polling stations is going on.
