Independent candidates challenge 16 consistency in KP
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 16 candidates have filed petitions against the election results in the cour so far.
The Election Commission says that independent candidates have filed writs against the results of 3 national and 13 provincial constituencies.
The report says that the results of National Assembly Constituencies NA 28 Peshawar, NA 11 Shangla and NA 40 North Waziristan have been challenged.
According to the Election Commission, the results of 8 provincial constituencies of the provincial capital Peshawar have also been challenged in court, PK 73, PK 74, PK 75, PK 78, PK 79, 80, 82, 20 and PK. 21 has also been referred to the court.
The Election Commission further said that against the 2 provincial constituencies of Bannu, PK 101 and 102, independent candidates have filed petitions in the court rejecting the results, while all the petitions will be heard on February 15.
