Meeting of the Central Royat Hilal Committee will be held today in Peshawar
After the sighting of the Ramadan moon in the Gulf countries including Saudi Arabia, the meeting of the Central Sighting of the Crescent Committee has been called today in Pakistan.
According to the details, a meeting of the Central Royat Hilal Committee will be held in Peshawar after Asr Namaz today, Monday, to see the moon of Ramadan in Pakistan. The Chairman of Central Royat Hilal Committee Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad will preside over the meeting.
According to experts, there is a strong possibility that the moon will be seen in the country today and the first fast in Pakistan may be tomorrow, Tuesday.
The meteorological department says that the birth of the moon of Ramadan has taken place on March 10 at 2 pm according to Pakistani time. After sunset on March 11, the moon will be about 29 hours old and visible on the horizon for 74 minutes.
However, fourteen days and a few hours after birth, the moon is full, after which the return process of the moon is complete and the new moon is born.
According to experts, to see the moon with open eyes, its minimum age should be 26 hours and the horizontal angle should be 8 to 10 decimal 5 degrees.
It takes 29 days and some hours for the moon to complete its cycle, due to these extra hours the moon is sometimes 29 and sometimes 30 days.
Astronomer Professor Dr. Javed Iqbal said that after its birth, the moon starts traveling forward in its orbit, after which the difference angle between the sun and the moon as seen from the earth starts to increase as this angle starts to increase from zero degrees.
He said that if it starts to take the shape of a crescent. Dr. Javed Iqbal has further said that since the moons orbit is elliptical rather than round, that is why its speed varies in different parts of the year.
Moreover , this angle also progresses at a different rate. On the 29th of the Islamic month, the moon is less likely to be seen due to its thinness, while on the 30th, the moon can be seen easily due to its greater width.
