The anti-extremism unit of Islamabad Police closed 462 accounts spreading religious hatred on social media.
According to the spokesperson of the Capital Police, the anti-extremism unit of the Islamabad Police has taken action and closed 462 accounts spreading religious, religious and linguistic hatred on social media.
Spokesman Capital Police says that Islamabad Police has identified 1522 accounts involved in negative activities, a letter has been written to the FIA for closure of these accounts.
Among the closed accounts, 65 were religious, 47 were involved in propaganda against the country and 350 were involved in spreading terrorist content, while the remaining 1060 accounts will also be closed soon.
The police say that preventing extremism is helping to tackle terrorism and make the city more secure.
People are requested to stay away from such negative activities on social media.
