Army Chief meets Saudi Crown Prince, agrees to increase strategic relations and cooperation
Army Chief General Asim Munir has met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. Both agreed to enhance Pak-Saudi strategic relations and cooperation.
On the occasion of the meeting between General Asim Munir and Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman and Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Al Maliki were also present.
According to Saudi media, issues of mutual interest including bilateral relations, mutual issues, regional and global issues were discussed in the meeting.
Pakistans Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq and other senior officials were also present on the occasion of the meeting.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), the Army Chief also held meetings with the top military leadership, including the Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, the Defense Minister, the Assistant Defense Minister and the Saudi Chief of General Staff.
ISPR says that Prince Mohammed bin Salman highlighted the strong ties and said that the two countries stand by each other.
The Saudi Crown Prince expressed his desire to strengthen bilateral relations and said that he will stand by Pakistan in the future as well, while Army Chief General Asim Munir thanked the Saudi leadership for its support.
