During the last one year, 500 suspects were arrested after seizing drugs worth 4B rupees in Khyber
The Police in Khyber district have arrested 500 accused by seizing drugs worth 4 billion rupees during the last one year. 35 drug manufacturing factories have also been sealed in this crackdown. More than 70% of the income from drugs was used for terrorism.
District Police Officer Salim Abbas Kalachi, while issuing a one-year performance report of police action against drugs in Khyber district, said that the police is determined to eliminate drugs in Khyber district.
As a result of the operations, 35 drug manufacturing factories were exported and sealed, and apart from drugs, drug manufacturing equipment has also been detained from these factories.
The arrested suspects include a large number of Afghan citizens. According to the review report, the arrested suspects are part of the international drug mafia network. Heroin is produced locally, while ice is produced in Afghanistan.
More than 70 percent are involved in the instrumentality of various terrorist organizations. And a large part of the income is being used in terrorism, which is having negative effects on the peace and order of the country
