Visa passport requirement for drivers and support staff on Pak-Afghan borders
Significant progress has been made in the relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan and a preferential trade agreement has been concluded between the two countries.
According to the sources, as per the agreement reached in Kabul between the Pak-Afghan authorities, it was agreed to waive the visa and passport requirement for the drivers and support staff for border crossing.
Sources said that temporary entry papers will be prepared to facilitate trade on both sides, and a visa-free and passport-free system for traders at the border will start from May 1.
According to sources, the border trade will be done through the banking system, as per the wishes of the Afghan authorities, the State Bank will ensure the system, Pakistan and Afghanistan will hand over the final draft to each other for implementation.
