Train service resumes from Quetta after seven months
Train service between Quetta and other parts of country resumed after seven months on Saturday.
Governor Balochistan Malik Kakar and DS Railways see off Jaffar Express from Quetta Railway Station. Nine-coach train is carrying 850 passengers to Peshawar.
Train service was suspended after a bridge, built by British rulers, collapsed near Bolan’s Machh town last year due to heavy rains and flash floods.
Collapsed bridge is located between Machh and Kolpur at Hirak in mountainous Bolan valley.
A total of Rs 650 million was spent on reconstruction of bridge.
