Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments decision to seek help from Jirga for electricity arrears
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has prepared a strategy to deal with electricity load management, while it has decided to seek help from the Jirga for electricity backlogs.
According to the document, out of the 177 feeders with line losses, the load shedding period will be 18 hours for 50 feeders while the defaulters will be able to pay the electricity arrears in installments.
According to the document, Pesco will release the load management schedule and remove the fault.
Apart from this, it was decided to take help from Jirga for electricity arrears.
According to the document, 195 cases of electricity theft were filed in the last 10 days, 30 cases of electricity theft were registered, 3 people were arrested, more than 60 lakhs were recovered from the defaulters.
