The Anti-Polio Campaign has Commenced Nationwide,
Including in 32 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with a target of immunizing over one and a half million children. The Ministry of Health has announced that the campaign will run until June 9, covering 66 specific districts. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa alone, the campaign will be conducted in 32 districts, while 16 districts in Sindh, 20 in Balochistan, and 6 in Punjab will also participate.
Syed Zahid Shah, coordinator of the Emergency Operation Center Balochistan, stated that the anti-polio campaign began in 14 Balochistan districts on Monday, June 3. He urged all parents to cooperate with the polio teams, emphasizing the importance of this campaign due to the presence of polio cases in the province.
Due to the prevailing heatwave, the campaign will start on June 8 in six districts. Overall, more than 1.884 million children will receive polio vaccinations across 20 districts during the campaign.
