44 terrorists arrested during CTD operations across Punjab
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested 44 terrorists during operations in various districts of Punjab, while a huge amount of explosives and weapons were also recovered from the terrorists.
CTD conducted operations in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Narowal and Sialkot, besides operations in Khanewal, Mandi Bahauddin, Jhang, Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalpur.
According to a CTD spokesman, during the operation, 2 dangerous TTP terrorists were arrested from Lahore, explosive materials, jackets, hand grenades and 37 detonators were recovered from the terrorists.
The spokesperson said that the terrorists have been identified as Muhammad Khan, Abdul Rauf, Habibullah, Muhammad Shahzad and Sakhidullah, among those arrested are Osama, Azim, Tariq Khan, Tanveer Ahmed, Ahsan and others.
Spokesperson CTD said that terrorists were planning to attack at different places, 673 suspects were arrested during 2738 combing operations in May, 96 thousand 796 people were questioned in combing operations.
