Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 117 terrorists killed, 299 arrested in one year, CTD
Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has released the statistics of operations against terrorists.
According to the CTD document, 117 most wanted terrorists were killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this year while 299 terrorists were arrested.
According to the document, 237 incidents of terrorism took place in 26 districts of the province, in which 65 police personnel were martyred and 86 personnel were injured.
According to the CTD document, 20 militants were killed and 6 arrested in 40 incidents in North Waziristan.
According to the document, in 37 incidents of extremism in Dera Ismail (DI) Khan, 17 policemen were martyred and 14 injured while 23 militants were killed and 32 arrested.
According to the CTD document, 33 incidents of extremism took place in Tank, in which 5 police personnel were martyred and 2 were injured, while 16 militants were killed and 4 were arrested.
According to the document, 5 policemen were martyred and 9 injured in 22 incidents of extremism in Bannu, while this year 5 extremists were killed and 13 were arrested.
According to the CTD document, in 18 incidents of extremism in Lucky Marwat, 5 policemen were martyred and 2 injured while 9 militants were killed and 8 were arrested.
According to the document, in 8 incidents of extremism in South Waziristan, 2 police officers were martyred and 3 injured while 8 militants were killed.
According to the CTD document, 3 militants were arrested in Hangu while 3 militants were killed and 4 arrested in 3 incidents of militancy in Kirk.
According to the document, 11 police personnel were martyred and 32 injured in 14 incidents of extremism in Bajaur, while 8 militants were killed and 12 arrested in 22 incidents of extremism in Khyber.
According to the CTD document, in 14 incidents of extremism in Peshawar, 2 were killed and 81 extremists were arrested, while 7 police personnel were martyred and 2 were injured.
