Spurle Mela held in Orakzai ended with a colorful ceremony, with the special participation of Commandant Orakzai Scouts
the Orkzai Scouts along with Department of Tourism and District Administration in collaboration with Kharasha Khawa Saturi Khel District three-day festival concluded with a colorful ceremony.
Commandant Orkzai Scouts Colonel Syed Saadat Hasan was the chief guest of the closing ceremony.
Civil and military authorities including deputy commissioner district Orakzai Tayyab Abdullah, respected country leaders of the area and thousands of people were present in the ceremony.
The Spurle Festival features jeep races, motorbike races, tug-of-war, archery, wrestling, truck pooling, tractor pooling, stone lifting, mass wrestling, kabaddi, archery, paragliding, cricket, football, local traditional sports competitions including camel and horse dancing.
A music concert was also organized last night in the fair, in which famous singers and artists of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including local artists, performed their art.
The chief guest on the second day was Major General Noor Wali Khan, who after the completion of the ceremony distributed prizes to the winners of various sports events.
Cultural and food stalls of all four provinces including Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are also decorated in Spurle Mela Orkazai.
With special attention to local sports, archery and slingshot competitions were conducted, in which especially the country and leaders of the area actively participated and its thorny competitions were organized.
On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Orakzai Tayyab Abdullah, a group of 500 school students made a Pakistani flag and expressed their love for their country.
