Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Free books provided to 75% children in government schools
Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Adviser on Elementary and Secondary Education Rehmat Salam Khattak has said that admission campaign in government schools of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is going on vigorously.
According to details, during admission campaign target of 1.6 lakh children has been admitted to schools, where last year target was 8 lakh children.
We are trying to get more children admitted, Rehmat Salam Khattak, while talking to media after the ceremony regarding admission campaign in Peshawar,
He said that admissions are also going on in second shift within schools, he added that free books 10 billion rupees funds have been kept for provision.
He further said that free books have been provided to 75% of students, books will be issued to rest of students after Eid.
Rahmat Salam said that there is no shortage of teachers and classes and admission drive will continue even after Eid
