Proclamation for allocation of isolation wards and rooms in hospitals, advance measures for monkeypox in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
According to announcement issued by Health Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in context of possible spread of monkeypox in country, Health Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has taken advance measures so that this epidemic can be resolved in province.
In this regard, DG Health Dr. Shaukat Ali has issued a declaration to warn all hospitals of province about monkeypox, in which hospital administration is instructed to create monkeypox isolation wards and assign rooms along with the symptoms and possible treatment of this disease.
According to Director of Public Health and Monkey Pox Focal Person Dr. Irshad Ali says that screening and tracing of people coming from outside has been started in view of monkey pox epidemic and in this regard, a staff of 20 members has been appointed at Bacha Khan Airport.
According to him, 150 passengers have been screened so far while no case of monkeypox has been reported in province so far
