2 suspects arrested for demanding extortion in the name of banned TTP
In Karachi, Rangers and Police Specialized Unit have arrested two accused who demanded extortion in the name of banned TTP while acting on tenical basis.
Police sources have said that the arrested accused Abdul Rahim and Farman had given a 15 lakh rupees allowance slip to a businessman with a note of Rs 500.
In the slip, first salam and then alimony was demanded and a threat was made that in case of non-payment of alimony, he would buy a shroud of 500 rupees.
According to police sources, the accused introduced themselves as Mufti Noor Wali of the banned TTP. The arrested accused will be further investigated.
In the CCTV footage of the incident, it can be seen that one of the accused comes on a motorcycle and runs away immediately after handing the slip to the employee of the said businessman.
