Khyber Pakhtunkhwa sets up anti-smuggling task force
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has also set up an anti-smuggling task force and issued its Term of Reference (TOR).
According to a statement issued from Peshawar, the Chief Secretary khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be the chairperson of the Anti-Smuggling Task Force.
The task force will include IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Secretary Interior, Chief Commissioner Task Force, Regional Tax Office and officials of all concerned departments.
According to the statement, the Anti-Smuggling Task Force was formed on the instructions of the caretaker Prime Minister, whose meeting will be convened every 15 days.
The task force will monitor sugar mills, urea industries, POL depots and border areas.
According to the statement, reviewing the progress on intelligence reports is included in the task of the task force, monitoring the measures against hoarders is also the responsibility of the task force
