Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and cabinet members visit Corps headquarters
Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Azam Khan along with cabinet members visited Corps Headquarters Peshawar. Honorable participants were given a detailed briefing on overall security situation, ongoing development projects in newly merged districts and capacity building of the police.
The meeting was attended by Corps Commander Peshawar Lt. Gen. Hasan Azhar Hayat and other senior civil and military officials and the participants stressed importance of socio-economic development projects including new tourist spots and exploration of minerals in newly merged districts.Which is essential for sustainable peace and development in region.
The meeting also reviewed the procedures for border management control in which recommendations were made to take measures to prevent smuggling of goods and to develop a comprehensive approach for solving the problems.
The participants emphasized the importance of capacity building of the KP Police, including the CTD, and expressed satisfaction over the recent achievements of the police in thwarting terrorist attacks in the province. On this occasion, the participants paid great tribute to the great sacrifices of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the safety, security and territorial integrity of the motherland.
