Increase in dengue cases, five districts of the province declared as high risk zone
In view of the increase in dengue cases in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, five districts have been declared as high risk zones. According to the Health Department, the districts of Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, Charsadda and Bitgram have been declared high risk zones.
Meanwhile, the number of dengue cases in the province reached 165, health officials said, with 38 cases of dengue infection reported in Peshawar, followed by 32 in Mardan, 19 in Swabi, 14 in Charsadda and 14 in Bitgram. So far, 12 dengue cases have been reported.
Officials say that cases of dengue fever have been reported from 20 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Cases have also been reported from Bannu, Hangu, Lakki Marwat, Khyber, Torghar and Haripur in the last two days.
