Swat : Investigative report of blasts rule out terrorism angle
According to inquiry report on explosions in old compound of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Kabul, Swat, explosion in warehouse of CTD compound was caused by a fire object or a short circuit.
According to police report, on April 24, blasts took place in old compound block of CTT near police station Kabul.
Anyone entering old CTD compound has to go through three layers of security, report said.
Similarly, according to eyewitnesses, no suicide attack or forced entry was recorded from outside.
Report states that no ball bearing was found at crime scene either.
Explosives in ammunition room caused a series of explosions and all vehicles destroyed during explosion were thoroughly inspected, but no evidence of IEDs etc.
According to details, there was no evidence found of explosion from any other source
Explosions took place on first floor and three-storey old CTD block was completely destroyed by blasts.
According to report, due to blasts, Kabal police station, new block of CTD police station, mosque of police lines and nearby houses have also been partially damaged.
