Cheap LPG import from Turkmenistan to Pakistan via Afghanistan started
Great progress has been made to overcome energy crisis in Pakistan and import of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) from Turkmenistan to Pakistan through Afghanistan has started, which is 25% cheaper than Iran.
Under agreement, three border tankers containing 160 tons of LPG arrived at Chaman border via Bab Dosti to Pakistan, while 10 tankers from Spinboldak reached border trade terminal for clearing.
Customs officials in Chaman said that first consignment of 160 tonnes of LPG from Turkmenistan via Afghanistan under export agreement reached Pakistan via Bab Dosti at Chaman border.
