Popularity of Army 88%, Public Trust in Politicians 39%: Survey
According to a Gallup poll conducted in July, the military has the highest approval rating of all other institutions at 88 percent.
The survey was conducted by Gallup Pakistan for a political organization that wanted to analyze the results. The survey found that the public has 56 percent trust in the media and the courts, but the level of trust in politicians in general is only 39 percent. Percentage, Parliament is trusted by 47%, Election Commission by 42%, Police by 54%. In terms of reliability, the rating and score of media and courts is better and it is up to 56 percent.
The survey asked how satisfied or dissatisfied you are with the way the institutions work. In terms of the army, the satisfaction level was 88 percent, media and courts 56 percent, Election Commission of Pakistan 42 percent, local governments 51 percent, police 54 percent, parliament 47 percent and politicians in general 39 percent.
At the provincial level, the popularity level of the army is 90% in Punjab, 88% in Sindh, 91% in KP and 66% in Balochistan. Popularity level of politicians in Punjab is 43%, Sindh 34%, KP 29% and Balochistan 34%.
