In Dera Ismail Khan, the police thwarted the terrorist attack on 2 checkpoints
In Tank area of Dera Ismail Khan, a checkpoint was attacked within the limits of Gul Imam police station, which was foiled, however, it has become clear that the anti-peace forces have been active again.
According to the police spokesman, the militants attacked the check post with heavy weapons, the police immediately retaliated, Constable Waheed Gul was injured in the exchange of fire.
The police said that the exchange of fire continued for about an hour and a half, the attack was foiled and the militants escaped. Later, the injured constable was shifted to the hospital.
District Police Officer (DPO) Iftikhar Ali Shah along with other officials and police personnel reached the spot and cordoned off the area.
RPO Dera Nasir Mehmood Sati visited the area and said that the militants wanted to discourage the police force with their cowardly actions but they failed.
He further said that I am proud of our security forces, who are acting like a steel wall in front of the militants and are performing their duty bravely.
Yesterday evening, a checkpoint was also attacked in Roori area within the limits of Kalachi police station, in which a fire constable was injured.
The police said that the exchange of fire continued for 20 minutes, during which the attackers used small and heavy weapons. Meanwhile, Constable Mir Aslam was injured, but his condition is out of danger.
The police team reached the checkpoint to help the officers stationed there, but the attackers managed to escape.
