How many illegal Afghans have returned from Pakistan through Torkham so far, report continues?
Voluntary repatriation and deportation of illegally staying foreigners continues after the government deadline.
According to the Interior Department, 3035 foreigners were evacuated directly from Kham border, 785 men, 747 women and 1468 children are included in these 654 families.
The Interior Department says that 1239 people have been deported from different regions of the country through Torkham border, including 287 from Punjab, 81 from Islamabad, 24 from Azad Kashmir and 846 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The report stated that a total of 196,413 people have been sent to Afghanistan through the Torkham border and 3,056 foreigners have been sent to Afghanistan through Angar Ada border.
According to the Department of Interior, 55,394 men, 42,921 women and 98,098 children in 14,683 foreign families were sent back to Afghanistan through Torkham. A total of 197,652 illegal foreigners have been sent to Afghanistan.
