According to the sources, around one lakh police personnel will perform duty in the general elections, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police will finalize the plan after the meeting with the Election Commission.
Sources say that there is a possibility that Pakistan Army QRF, FCQRF will also be deployed in the southern districts.
On the other hand, Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja, Caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Justice Retired Arshad Hussain Shah met in Islamabad.
According to the spokesperson of the Election Commission, the caretaker Chief Minister briefed the Chief Election Commissioner on the preparations for the elections in the province and assured that the provincial government will work with the Election Commission to ensure the conduct of free, fair and impartial elections in the province.
The Chief Election Commissioner said that necessary steps should be taken for the peaceful conduct of the general elections, the protection of the voters should be the first priority
