A meeting of the apex committee of SIFC was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar Haq Kakar, in which military officials including Army Chief General Asim Munir participated.
Apart from this, the chief ministers, federal ministers and senior officers also participated in the meeting.
According to the statement of the meeting, the Council considered issues to promote strategic partnership with friendly countries, the caretaker prime minister appreciated the efforts of the relevant ministries to identify possible areas of cooperation.
The Special Investment Council decided to speed up the implementation of various projects under the initiatives and directed all stakeholders to achieve long-term economic benefits.
In the meeting, a briefing was given on the measures to facilitate the timely achievement of the goals set by various ministries, the progress on the measures taken so far to promote investment was declared satisfactory.
In the meeting of the council, the investment projects in the oil and gas sector in the country and the process of privatization of the loss-making government institutions were reviewed.
According to the announcement of the meeting, Army Chief General Asim Munir reiterated the commitment of the Pakistan Army to fully cooperate with the government in the sustainable economic recovery of Pakistan.
