In the departure hall, the customs enforcement staff recovered 10,000 dollars from a passenger going to Afghanistan and arrested the suspect, a resident of Khyber district.
On this occasion, the customs authorities said that on the instructions of the Chief Collector Customs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Saeed Akram and Collector Customs Enforcement Khawaja Naeem, the checking against foreign currency at the Torkham border has been made more strict and the departure and arrival staff from Afghanistan.
However, the clothes of the departing passengers are being searched.
He said that they will not allow anyone to smuggle illegal items including foreign currency and drugs in Torkham and for this they are monitoring all the points so that smuggling can be prevented.
