13 centers have been established for free diagnosis and treatment of AIDS patients in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Provincial Health Advisor
Caretaker Chief Ministers Advisor on Health Dr Riaz Anwar has said that we should hate the disease and not the patient. 13 centers have been established in the province for free diagnosis and treatment of AIDS patients.
In his message on the occasion of World AIDS Day, he said that people should go through the screening process so that timely diagnosis and treatment of diseases like AIDS is possible, he further said that for AIDS diagnosis and free treatment. For this, 7 new diagnostic centers have been opened.
New diagnostic centers have been established in Swat, Swabi, Mardan, Abbottabad, Para Chinar, Miran Shah and Bajaur. All these diagnostic centers provide screening, diagnosis, counseling and treatment services absolutely free.
He has appealed to the people of the province to conduct free screening in these screening centers. About the rate of AIDS in the province, the health advisor said that at present the number of registered AIDS patients in the province is 6966, in which the number of women is 1573, 107 eunuchs are also infected with AIDS.
The number of AIDS patients in Peshawar is 1274, the Health Advisor said that the number of AIDS patients in former tribal districts is 1107. The number of AIDS patients this year is 898 compared to 1025 in 2022, which is less than last year.
