Punjab: CTD 147 operations, 14 terrorists arrested
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested 14 terrorists during 147 intelligence-based operations in various cities of Punjab.
According to CTD spokesman, operations were conducted in Lahore, Khushab, Fasilabad, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, Toba Tek Singh, Gujarat and Sahiwal.
According to the spokesman, the main commander of banned organizations TTP and Jamaat-ul-Harar has been arrested from Lahore.
According to the CTD spokesperson, explosives, 3 hand grenades, 4 IED bombs, 5 detonators, 15 safety fuses, Prima Card, mobile phones and cash were recovered from the terrorists.
The CTD spokesman further said that the terrorists have been identified as Safin, Ansar, Waheed, Saad, Abdul Salam, Qamar, Zahid, Khair Din, Usman, Ali Akbar and Bilal.
The CTD spokesman also said that terrorists were planning attacks on key installations, with 79 suspects arrested during 588 combing operations this week.
