Khyber: A 2,000-year-old stupa from the Buddhist era fell into disrepair
A part of the 2,000-year-old Buddhist stupa building in Khyber district collapsed during renovation.
The Safula Stupa building built two thousand years ago near Landi Kotal Bazaar in Khyber Pass was being repaired when a part of the building suddenly collapsed, damaging the ancient relics.
According to the district administration, the construction and repair work of the Safula Stupa building has been resumed.
The Safula Stupa building is situated on a hilltop on the side of the Pak-Afghan Highway, which was built during the Kashan Empire.
