National Action Plan for Health Security Khyber Pakhtunkhwa consultation meeting started
A three-day consultation meeting of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Technical Group for determining the National Action Plan for Health Security 2024-28 has started under the chairmanship of Director General Health Services Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Shaukat Ali.
All sub-directors of health department, project directors, representatives of National Health Institute, World Health Organization and other stakeholders participated in this important meeting.
Addressing the meeting, DG Health Dr. Shaukat Ali said that the provincial action plan is being determined in the meeting.
However , a special technical team of the World Health Organization has also come for this purpose.
He said that the workshop will also help us to determine the provincial action plan for health security, we have prepared the national action plan for health security at the national level.
Chief Center for Disease Control NIH Dr. Mumtaz said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has always taken the initiative in setting up the National Action Plan in the provinces and has maintained the tradition by taking the initiative again and again.
The World Health Organization has said that Pakistan needs to increase capacity in 19 different areas in terms of health, including biohazard, biochemical, natural disasters, prevention of diseases like Corona, border management, Air pollution etc.
